My professional career spans multiple disciplines and industries, including B2B and B2C marketing and informational content, SEO Strategy, service-based content, sequential art, branching narrative, and scripts. If something needs writing, editing, or planning–I’m on it.
City Ranked Media is a data-driven digital marketing agency that provides SEO services and website development. I worked as a content strategist, editor, and writer to craft compelling and original content for our clients’ websites. I analyzed the existing content to create a content strategy that would improve their website traffic. Our clients’ industries varied widely, and we created websites for nearly every kind of small business–everything from local plumbing companies to national pest control agencies. I conducted thorough research into every industry we worked with, writing topic-based content that incorporated their individual values as a company.
While balancing duties as strategist and writer, I also designed processes for the content department, concentrating on efficiency and budget guidelines. I established new content standards for our agency, as well as keeping current with industry practices.
Developed by Rose City Games, published by VIZ Media, and released through Nintendo Switch and Steam, The World Next Door is a narrative-driven, action-adventure game. I was brought on board after initial development as Narrative Designer and Script Writer. The game uses branched dialogue, or “Choose Your Own Adventure” style writing, and was really fun to work on! I also wrote the script and visual art direction for the prequel comic, which was released for free at conventions.

Stela Unlimited is an app-based platform for comics. They publish a combination of creator-owned and studio-developed material. As Lead Writer, I was hired to create their in-house studio projects. I designed the narrative, wrote the script, and created the visual art direction for Stela’s new pilot program, which consists of three full-length works: Lumi White, Alyan and the Lamp, and another yet to be released. All of these were published as written by the studio. I was also responsible for rewriting pre-existing projects for publication, as well as content editing and proofreading for the entire studio. I wrote ad-copy, web content, and social media content for select projects.
Stela also had an individual client who required ghostwriting for an upcoming movie. I adapted the existing screenplay into comic book format, providing visual art direction as well. I was also the Narrative Consultant for the screenplay, revising plot structure, dialogue, and character development.
Personal Creative Work

I am currently working on a short story collection that explores the relationship women have to violence and to traditional ideas of power. I write in a variety of different mediums, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, theater scripts, and comics. You can explore excerpts of my personal creative work here.
